How to help your student revisePlease find linked a presentation that goes through simple techniques on how to revise. We have been using this with the students for over a year. There are helpful videos and other tools to support with revision.
We do recommend they make a revision timetable, this can be made either on paper or by using GetRevising. Here is an example plan. Students also have access to Sparx and GCSEPod for content revision.

HomeworkAll students are expected to complete two hours a night of homework and revision. If your students only has one subject for homework they should be using a revision timetable to complete 1-2 other subjects revision. This should be broken down into units for example, 30 minutes of Biology - Cells and then 30 minutes of English- Romeo and Juliet. This is where organising what they need to learn and then planning really helps. We are here to support with this. All homework is set on My Child at School.
Study HallStudents can access support in the lunchtime Study Hall every day between 13:20 and 14:00, in room 2533. A member of staff is always present. Please encourage your child to attend if they are struggling with homework. This is a quiet space they can use for supported independent study. They must eat their lunch before coming to Study Hall.
