Parental Engagement
Our ‘Parent Panel’ meets regularly to act as a ‘think tank’ in the further development of Parental Partnership and Community Engagement. Please email Jon Nicholls for further details or to express and interest in joining the group.
The ‘Friends of Tallis’ invite all parents/carers and wider family members to work in partnership with the school on a wide range of educational matters and issues involving students’ welfare and personal development. Parents can be a valuable support for each other, sharing information and ideas in helping their children through their secondary school years. Why not have your say on Tallis Talk our bespoke message board. Just click on the Tallis Talk icon, choose a topic and make a comment on a number of topical issues. If you are interested in joining ‘Friends of Tallis’ please contact Roya Dooman: roya@royadooman.co.uk |
There is a formal Parents’ Evening once a year for each year group, where parents/carers can meet their child’s subject teachers and discuss their progress. All parents/carers are encouraged to attend. You will also be invited to a number of Parent/Carer Consultation sessions focusing on a range of relevant topics and issues, relating to the personal and academic development of your child. Invitations for these go out to relevant parents/carers a month in advance of each event. |
