Workload - Use of EAs in English
1. GCSEPOD - each week EAs download the yr 11 data and e-mail the spreadsheet for individual classes to teachers, this allows teachers to easily monitor GCSEPOD use. EAs also add reward points for those that have listened to five or more podcasts. 2. CL detention - EAs record CL detentions on PARS and assist in collecting students from pm registration. 3. Intervention - subject specialist EAs run targeted after school revision and catch-up sessions for small groups of yr 11 students. Mastery - Threshold Concepts in Photography |

Reciprocal ReadingThis active reading strategy introduces students to challenging texts in an engaging and meaningful way. Students read a text in groups of four, with each member of the group taking on a different role: the predictor, the clarifier, the questioner and the summariser. Reciprocal reading is recommended for all subjects and for all key stages in order to encourage students to engage with the use of specialist vocabulary and an academic writing style.
