Would a device help your child with their remote learning?
To register your interest in the scheme please send an Email to your child's form tutor.
In the subject line write: REQUEST a Device - your child’s name then please provide the following info.
Your Tutor will then liaise with the Tallis Co-ordinator and your child’s name will be added to the list.
School will then allocate devices according to their priority criteria.
* Please note that the scheme is dependent on the number of devices available at any given time and that we may not be able to assist every request.

There are many step by step guides available on how to safely do this eg: https://us.norton.com/internetsecurity-how-to-wipe-your-old-drive-clean.html
However, if you are unable to do this, the IT Department do this as a matter of course anyway.

Wow.. we have surpassed our target! Thank you all SO much. However, our campaign is still ongoing, as we strive to ensure that every Tallis student has their own device suitable for today’s online learning needs. Spending update - Since last May your kind and generous donations have enabled school to purchase 27 new laptops last year and a new order for a further 20+ is being made as we speak! Sadly, there are still many students who don't qualify for a Department for Education device who are struggling, sharing devices with siblings and parents working from home or even trying their best on small phone screens. The funds will help the school meet their target to ensure that every child can access their learning with ease. The funds will also replenish monies already passed on to the school to ensure that the projects already in pipeline can continue once things return to some normality. So, please do continue to DONATE via gofundme, GIFT AID if you can and Thank You for helping ensure education is a fair and balanced provision for ALL our young people at Tallis. |

The Role of the PTFA
Troubleshooting
The Role of the PTFA
- Tallis PTFA is co-ordinating the scheme, but is NOT involved with who receives a device. This is carried out by the School.
- Tallis PTFA will become the owners of all Donated devices for the purpose of the ‘Loan and return’. scheme run by School
- Tallis PTFA will pass on to the school, funds raised by the TECH for TALLIS Campaign so it may be used to assist with the purchase of IT devices should the number of donated devices be low.
- School is responsible for collecting the names of those requesting help
- School will co-ordinate the distribution of devices arising from the TECH for TALLIS scheme.
- School will own any devices purchased using PTFA funds
- School will keep a log of all distributed devices and coordinate the reassigning of devices when a student leaves.
Troubleshooting
- Should there be a mechanical issue with a donated device, or you need help with school logins etc. please contact: helpdesk@thomastallis.org.uk
- For help repairing non-school (Personal devices) please see our advice above.
Thank you so much in anticipation of your kindness and generosity.
