PRESS RELEASE Students at Thomas Tallis are celebrating the best GCSE results in the school’s history. 63% of students achieved 5 or more A* to C grades including English and Maths and 79% achieved 5 or more C grades or better. 57% of our students achieved 5 or more A*-C including English, maths and two sciences. 9% of our grades were A* while 22% of the total 2329 results were at A*/A. Also 99.6% of students achieved a qualification demonstrating that success has been achieved across the board. These are in addition to our excellent performance at post 16. 173 students took A2 examinations with some outstanding individual results, see below, and good achievement across the whole range of abilities: 75% gained A*-C grades and 98% achieved A*-E. 75% of students studying vocational courses achieved an A*/A grade, 88% achieved an A*-C grade with 100% A*-E. Overall, 37% of grades were A*/A.
