Reading in Tutor Time
This year, Years 7 - 10 will be reading a book during tutor time and exploring the ideas together. We feel this is a really important part of building our community and promoting the value of reading for all students across the school. The books being read are:
Year 7: War of the Worlds - H.G. Wells
Year 8: Pig Heart Boy - Malorie Blackman
Year 9: Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon
Year 10: Life of Pi - Yann Martel
Reading will take place every Tuesday morning during tutor time. Please speak to your son/daughter about how they are getting on.
Please enjoy this special video by Yann Martel, author of award-winning novel, Life of Pi, recorded for Year 10 students.

We promote reading for pleasure at Tallis. We believe in the power of books and reading to broaden horizons, engage the imagination and provide a lifelong source of entertainment and delight. These Reading Lists, which combine classic and contemporary fiction, are designed to help our young people identify suitable reading material for their age. The lists are regularly reviewed and updated to include current publications.
