Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. In 2011 we moved to a new £52 million building with state of the art facilities and infrastructure. We have 2000 pupils on the school roll including over 800 students currently in our highly competitive sixth form.

Geography Teacher
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2023
We wish to appoint an outstanding Geography Teacher with the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5 to join a well-established, well-resourced and successful faculty. The department is committed to the development of powerful knowledge through innovative and creative curriculum development and disciplinary pedagogy.
You will be working alongside a team of experienced members of staff in a department with great teaching.

The department is committed to the development of powerful knowledge through innovative and creative curriculum development and disciplinary pedagogy.
You will be working alongside a team of experienced members of staff in a department with great teaching.
We are looking for someone who:
- is passionate about Geography with the ability to inspire students
- can demonstrate excellent teaching and classroom management skills
- demonstrates adaptive teaching strategies to meet the needs of all students from SEN to MAL
- has the ability to build good relationships with all students and adults
- has a commitment to developing curriculum activities within the faculty
- will actively engage with extra-curricular opportunities within the department

You will develop, under the guidance of the Head of the LSU, a service that will help support students and positively impact on retention, achievement and attainment of vulnerable and underachieving students.
