Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. In 2011 we moved to a new £52 million building with state of the art facilities and infrastructure.  We have 2000 pupils on the school roll including over 750 students currently in our highly competitive sixth form.

SCALI Manager

Grade: PO1 (Actual Salary: £35,854 - £38,075 pa)

Contract: Full time, 35 hours per week, term time only

Start date: ASAP

We wish to appoint a SCALI Manager to lead our Support Centre for Autism and Language Impairment (Autism LARP). This is a unique opportunity to shape inclusive provision for young people with autism and communication needs, placing equity and participation at the heart of school life. You will work closely with the SENDCO and wider inclusion team to ensure the highest standards of care, learning and support for students accessing SCALI.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • an outstanding understanding of autism and inclusive education
  • experience of staff management and working with secondary-age students
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • a commitment to safeguarding and the pastoral development of young people

We wish to appoint a full time Inclusion Officer (Cognition and Learning) to join our dedicated SEND team. This is a key role supporting students with Cognition and Learning needs across KS3–5, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life and receive the support they need to thrive.

We are looking for someone who has:
​

  • experience of working with children and young people with SEND
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • the ability to lead and support a team of Individual Support Assistants (ISAs)
  • a flexible and collaborative approach to working within a busy school environment

This is a key role supporting students with communication and interaction needs across KS3–5, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life and receive the specialist support they need to thrive.

We wish to appoint a full time Post 16 SEND Interventions Officer to join our dedicated SEND team. This is a key role supporting sixth form students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive targeted interventions and are fully supported in their academic and personal development.

We are looking for someone who has:
​

  • experience of working with children and young people with SEND
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • the ability to plan and deliver effective interventions
  • a flexible and collaborative approach to working within a busy school environment

SEND Exams Admin Officer

Grade: Scale 5 (Actual Salary: £28,359 - £29,625 pa)

Contract: Full time, 35 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks)

We wish to appoint a full time SEND Exams Admin Officer to join our inclusive and dedicated team. This is a key role supporting the administration of exam access arrangements for students with special educational needs. You will work closely with the Exams Team, SENDCO, Deputy SENDCO KS4/5 and Inclusion Officers to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed in formal assessments.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • a professional, kind and calm manner
  • the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
  • competence in using ICT systems
