In Year Admissions

Decisions about offers of places at Thomas Tallis School are the responsibility of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Royal Borough of Greenwich Standard Admissions Policy

Admissions priority

First priority will go to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming the school.
Remaining places will be given in the following priority order:
  1. Looked after children and all previously looked after children, including those children who appear to have been in state care outside of England
    and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.

  2. Children or their immediate family member with a chronic medical condition or social care need for a place at the school.
  3. Children who have a sibling or other child living in the same household who, in any of these cases, will be living with them at the same address at the date of their entry to the school.
  4. Children of a member of teaching staff employed directly by the school for two or more years at the time and/or children of a member of staff recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
  5. Other children based on home to school distance. ​

If your child’s application for a place at the school is unsuccessful parents may appeal against the decision. You can find details of the RBGs appeal process here.
