EDUCATION TO UNDERSTAND THE WORLD & CHANGE IT FOR THE BETTER

Humanities & Social Sciences

The Humanities curriculum area is located in Block 3: INNOVATE.
It comprises the following departments:

Geography

Geography is studied by all students at KS3. It can be studied at GCSE and A level.

History

History is studied by all students at KS3. It can be studied at GCSE and A level.

Religious Studies

RE is studied by all students at KS3. At KS4 all students are required to engage in the study of religion and can choose the GCSE as an option. This can progress to A-Level Religious Studies.

Social Sciences

Sociology, Economics, Psychology and Government & Politics can also be studied at A level

Health & Social Care

Health and Social Care can be studied as a BTEC  course at KS4. At sixth form the course can be studied as a Level 3 triple BTEC (3 A-Levels) qualification.
